Connections in Crisis

The Connections in Crisis Series follows Ian Maynard as he works through an unhealthy relationship before meeting his new boyfriend and his wife (yep, you read that right -- it's a polycule!). The trio moves through tragedy in the FBI offices of Philadelphia to new adventures in the wilds of North Central Pennsylvania. During their tenure at the Rural Rescue and Investigations Agency in Potter County, they meet Lisa (Li) Beckett, who manages to bring chaos and just might be the missing key to their small family.

This series has undergone multiple revisions, and the release has now been pushed back. Severed Threads (book 0) will be a reader magnet, offered for free, detailing Ian's unhealthy relationship and his saving grace -- his friends Sara and Paul. Snapped Threads is in the writing phase now!

Severed Threads

Ian Maynard is not new to the world of polyamory. He has dabbled in ethical non-monogamy, but nothing long-term, not like he wanted. Until Abby and Dennis McCartney had picked him up as a third in their marriage, about six months ago. But it's not been a very good six months -- at least not from the perspectives of Ian's good friends, Sara -- a technical analyst at the Philadelphia FBI office -- and Paul -- Ian's partner in the Crisis Negotiation Unit. They've watched Ian crumble under Abby and Dennis's "care" and have been trying desperately to get Ian to see what's going on. Will they be able to help Ian find his footing on his own again, or will Ian be stuck in this unhealthy relationship?

Severed Threads is being written in the fall of 2024 and will be released FOR FREE as a reader magnet novella to introduce you into the world of Connections in Crisis.

Ian Maynard is fairly happy with his life. He's a hostage negotiator for the FBI offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, close with their tech genius, Sara Harrison, and living life as best as he can. Sure, he's lonely sometimes, since his break-up, but that just comes with the single life. Then Sara introduces him to her husband, John, and to the healthy side of polyamory. Ian learns, slowly, what it means to love and be loved in return. But when tragedy strikes, will Ian live long enough to understand how much he is loved?

After suffering a major tragedy and trauma in his work life at the FBI, Ian Maynard and his partners, Sara Harrison and John Lemmore decide to start over again, moving to the hills of North Central Pennsylvania and starting jobs with the renowned Rural Rescue and Investigations Agency (RRIA). At the same time as they make their move, Li Riley Beckett is ready to go back to work as one of RRIA's top investigators. They're about to meet their new partner, When these worlds collide, these lives are thrown abruptly into more chaos -- drugs, duct tape, and gunshots.

Rise from the Ashes has been written, but needs editing to match up with Snapped Threads and Book 1.

Devil On the Mountain

A continuation in part of the adventures of Wanna Hold Your Hand, Ian is charged with investigating the supposed hauntings at Denton Hill, a long-closed ski park in Potter County. Danger abounds, with gunshots, knife wounds, and snowmobile accidents! Through it all, the power of love and companionship remains strong, pulling the polycule closer together.
